Anna Król, a young Polish artist, creates ring brooches, small sculptures to wear in treated silver. She is attracted by the dynamics of creation and argues that metamorphosis is above all a mental process. The materials are placed at the service of a freedom of experimentation and consequent expectation of the final result. The jewel is the result of a complex creative act, where multiple elements come into play, the preciousness of silver, the oxidation treatment, the opaque rendering of the material to evoke bone or wooden surfaces. The result of new mental mappings that the artist allows himself, a creative act that takes place in spite of himself.
