Corrado De Meo
Corrado participates in the group exhibition MATERIAMETAMORPHOSIS >> with the new Constellations Improbable collection
"The sky remains man’s maximum ambition, the place to look at to find the way, or to identify new paths: Corrado De Meo has always experimented with materials, transferring in his research a pronounced poetic inspiration: his brooches are ‘improbable constellations’ with small pearls that punctuate a resin painted with acrylic metallic colours, deliberately left rough and irregular with opaque shades which unlike the ‘sidereal’ pearls, compressed in a lunar territory, absorb light. The result is a crystallized moment, a contrast that recalls a newly found harmony, suspended between precious material (coming from the sea) and the synthetic materials inspired by nature. New spaces to explore, new horizons for the materials: an interpenetration that finds its highest goal in this sky of ideas."
