Voluminous but light sculpture brooch Made of delicately hand painted silk, and oxidized silver. The silk elements envelop the precious silver details, an intertwining of branches, inflorescences and small leaves that are discovered with an attentive look.

11 x 15 cm, 5 cm thick
Steel needle 7 cm.

Jounghye PARK is interested in roots, stems, shrubs, berries and seeds: a natural vocabulary she translates into ornaments recalling the ambiguity of how plants put down roots in one place and at the same time stretch out into space with their seeds. The lightness of silk evokes this fluctuation. ..
