Iro Kaskani - Il gioiello si mette in posa

Creativity Oggetti presents a selection of jewellery created by the winner of the “Creativity Contest” and photographed by Federica Cioccoloni.
The 1st prize of the international “Creativity Contest“ competition’s first edition was awarded by the jury as well as the public who visited the exhibition “The Posing Jewel” (3 October to 15 November 2014) to Iro Kaskani for her research and experimentation of forms and materials which maintain the due distance from all that which is conventional. The prize consists of an entire jewellery collection photo shooting in still life realized in studio and professionally postproduced by Federica Cioccoloni.
Iro Kaskani was born in Cyprus and livesand works in Nicosia (Cyprus). A degree in Architecture she received in Florence, where she also studied Jewellery-Design and -Manifacturing. Shape, sculpture and equilibrium are the basis of her research where she explores the concept of space combining precious materials with others that are not. In 2007 she inaugurated her own atelier/showroom called “The space in between”.
Federica Cioccoloni, born in Rome in 1978, where she lives and works. After the artistic high school degree, she graduated in History of Contemporary Art at the University of Roma Tre, where she developed her interest in composition, the sculptural power and chromatic values of light. At the Mosaik-Artedata Content Division in Florence she studied museum-exhibition and -installation as well as graphic and visual communication. After graduating in 2010 in Photography from the Scuola Romana, she specialized in still life. Since 2012 her artistic and professional research focused on capturing contemporary jewels where she employs both digital camera and large format films(Hasselblad and optical bench). In 2012 she participated in the collective exhibition “I.M.A.G.E.” organized by Associazione Italia nel Cuore.
