Anna Król, a young Polish artist, creates brooches and rings small, wearable sculptures crafted from treated silver.
She is drawn to the dynamics of creation, maintaining that metamorphosis is, first and foremost, a mental process. Materials are employed in the service of free experimentation, with the final outcome emerging only after a period of anticipation. Each piece of jewelry is the result of a complex creative act involving various elements: the inherent value of the silver, the oxidation process, and a matte finish that evokes the texture of bone or wood. The work represents the manifestation of new mental mappings—a creative act that unfolds almost of its own accord.
Anna designs entire jewelry collections for the Polish brand Deco Echo.
