We know Raffaella Brusaglino as a painter active in the production of polymaterial works, characterized by a variety of techniques on different supports and in different contexts: canvases, wood, frescoes, wall installations, scenography. Having started out with an illustrator background, today she deals with sculpture on aluminum sheets in large and small formats, creating works with living plants and inanimate matter.
The Pioneer Sculptures and the Indispensable Flowers is a project, open to different levels of interpretation, to suggest multiple points of view on human society: they are an experimental attempt to compose installations in continuous transformation, within which dwells the idea of a future made of balances between artifice and nature, ancient and contemporary, dominant cultures and minorities, affirmed and invisible social realities.
Gesti Bianchi, her new series inspired by the world of tennis, she takes us back to the elegance of the tennis courts of the 1920s and 1930s, a period when the game was evolving through increasingly refined techniques and styles, with spin shots and ever more sophisticated athletic gestures.
Each work captures a gesture, a stance, a particular spin imparted to the ball, freezing a moment of play on the canvas.
