Memory Wastes - Ana Hagopian
Creativity presents the installation "Memory Wastes" a series of miniatures made with fragments of the cards, with which Ana Hagopian has been making jewelry collections for years.
The author says: "Everything stems from chaos and from a reasoning about the disorder present in my atelier. Why do I keep keeping these thousands of pieces of paper? I asked myself one day. With scissors in hand and guided by intuition I gave shape to the first dress, an almost natural gesture that immediately transported me to my rural childhood. There, time passed slowly and I entertained myself leafing through the fashion, art and nature magazines that happened to me; pages full of colors that would soon turn into a source of inspiration and raw material for my work. This collection of miniature drawings combines the scraps of paper and the fragments of memory that my work has left behind. A collage of references that winks at the fashion of the 1920s, the world of art and the music of the Beatles and Stones. A creative exercise based on recycling, which in itself aims to be another jewel. "
